CAUGHT A GHOST - You Send Me Music Video
Making waves in the LA indie scene with their fresh sound and electric live shows (featuring a horn section and projections), Caught A Ghost is a new project from Los Angeles songwriter and producer Jesse Nolan. Featuring Nolan's kindergarten classmate Stephen Edelstein on drums and sultry vocals and percussions from actress Tessa Thompson, the band offers listeners a modern take on blue-eyed soul, blending elements of classic Motown compositions with influences from dubstep, 90s rap, and contemporary electronica.
With plans to release a debut EP later this year and a May residency at revered LA venue The Satellite - formerly known as Spaceland - Caught A Ghost has debuted a haunting new video for their cover of Sam Cooke classic "You Send Me." Filmed by Nolan and a friend using only one camera and an industrial light, the video solidifies what My Old Kentucky Blog said of the band's first release "Sleeping at Night": "Proof positive that you don’t need a major label cuttin’ checks behind you to create a buzz-worthy video. Of course, it never hurts to have a buzz-worthy song to start with..."
"You Send Me" is available as a free download at CaughtAGhost.com. Southern California fans can block off Monday nights in May for the band's free shows at The Satellite, which will feature new local acts each week, food trucks, surprise guests, and more to get the week started right. Sign up for email updates and find the band on Facebook for all the latest details.
